Most running sessions begin once the watch starts.

This one begins slightly earlier.

A short breathing or intention-setting primer helps athletes arrive properly before the first rep, creating a clearer mental starting point rather than rushing straight into effort.

STRUCTURED MILE WORK

The core session is built around repeat mile efforts, progressing through tempo and threshold work depending on the session and time of year.

Intensity is coached carefully so athletes improve fitness while learning to stay deliberate under load rather than simply chasing pace.

ATTENTION OUTSIDE THE INTERVAL

Most runners focus entirely on pace, splits and simply getting through the work.

This session keeps the structure of quality training, while widening the focus to include breathing, rhythm, intention and how effort is experienced.

That often changes the quality of the session more than pushing harder ever does.

OPTIONAL COFFEE and chat

For those who want to stay, the session finishes with optional coffee and conversation at the mac.
